Sounds like the problem is a bad tub bearing. The seal should be replaced too. It comes with the instructions.

- The spanner wrench Part number: AP4503397

Part number: AP4503397

- The tub bearing kit Part number: 6-2040130

Part number: 6-2040130

- The washer stem and seal kit Part number: 6-2095720

Part number: 6-2095720

Gene.
P.S. There is a small chance that there something else caused that noise - Washer leaks and terrible noise at spin cycle..
