Default Operating Refrigerator in Cold Temperature Environments
Model Number: 65802   Brand: Kenmore   Age: Less than 1 year

We live in the Northeast and recently purchased an inexpensive second unit for an un-heated garage. We recently noticed that the freezer was not working correctly. I then read the manual and it says unit will not work correctly in temps < 55F.

1) Will we damage the unit if we run it during the winter??
2) Does this problem affect the freezer as well as the fridge??
3) Is their a workaround (besides heating the garage)??
4) Is this a universal problem for all units or are some designed for operating in lower/higher temps?

Thank you-
