To repair the hole in the freezer line go to Home Depot etc. and get some duct tape. It is silver foil with a peel and stick backing (not the fiber type).

Also check that it has not melted the insulation behind the hole.

The insulation has been melted, mainly just wanted to be sure that this was not a fire hazard. Would the melting of insulation be causing me higher electricity bills?
