Where are they located? So what your saying is that when swapped the water dispenser will trigger water flow into the ice maker. Correct?
The water valve is located on the back of the refrigerator. It has two solenoids: one for the ice maker and the other one for the water dispenser. Each of them has 2 wires connected to. By swapping the wires, the power from the water dispenser lever will come and energize the ice maker solenoid. If this solenoid is good and there is nothing with the water line to the ice maker, water should come into the ice maker.

About any other web site who may sell the same parts - did you check their return policy? 15% restocking fee and only 30 days for only unused parts? What are you going to do if your diagnosis was wrong and you would like to return the ice maker which you already installed?

Their price looks so suspicious, I would not surprise if they sell refurbished parts as new.

Gene.
