Remove your vent on the back and check for a clogged vent tube either in the connecting hose and or the tube coming from the dryer.
Run the dryer for 1 cycle without the vent connected and see if it still gets too hot. If so, a bad limit switch could be causing your problem.
There should be a thermal fuse that will blow if the dryer is too hot. You may have had service at some point and the fuse was bypassed. NOT GOOD.
