I eventually gave up trying to fix it myself and called an appliance repairman. As it turned out, the problem
was a faulty door lock. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy. What's the point in displaying error codes if they are the wrong ones. The door lock test didn't help me diagnose the problem either, it seemed to lock/unlock just fine. Anyhow, I don't know how helpful I've been, I would suggest replacing the door lock and seeing what that does first since it is fairly inexpensive (not like the stupid control board that I wasn't able to return!)
