I've already isolated the problem, with the help of your video
Gas Dryer Troubleshooting Video , to the thermal fuse which is open. I was wondering what other component can cause the fuse to blow or is it just the age of the dryer. The resistance across the ignitor is 95 ohms which according to the wiring diagram on the dryer should be 50 to 300 ohms. I removed the thermal fuse and connected its two leads together just for a functional test and the burner ignited and the dryer functioned normally. Disconnected everything, ordered the fuse and decided to post here to see if ther is something else I should be looking at in the meantime.
