No,
There's nothing to prime or a trick to getting the ice maker started.

It can take as long as 24 hours, for the unit to cool down properly and start making the proper sized and conditioned cubes. It has to flush and fill all the water tubing and make several batches of cubes, I'm guessing, you've had the icemaker on and the freezer temperature is in the proper range for longer than that.

At this point, I can only guess,

You may have a bad or intermittent thermostat or contact in the ice maker itself, even though it tested properly in the past.

I don't know what else or where else to other than a new ice maker.
