The water valve is located in the rear of the fridge, just follow the water line from the wall. Here is the correct water valve for the model number you provided: Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Water inlet valve kit, part number: AP3160649

Changing it is pretty basic, it will be held in by 1 or 2 screws. So first turn off the water and power!! Disconnect the water lines and wire connectors, make sure you keep track of what goes where! Installing is just reverse of removal. The new valve has the new quick connectors, all you do is insert the water lines until they bottom out. Make sure when you cut the lines that they get a clean, straight cut. Any ruff edges or angled cuts may damage the O-rings as you push the lines into the valve. Once reinstalled check for leaks.
