Here's a link to a service manual. This is a very involved procedure. As a pro, I can do the job in about an hour. Don't be discouraged if it takes you half a day. It begins with the removal of the door, hinges, front panel and other components. (Starting in section 5 [page 53] of the manual).
The removal of the boot itself begins in section 7 (page 66).
Look over these steps and decide whether you're up to the task. No specialized tools are required for the job; but the removal (and worse, the reinstallation) of the boot clamp will test your patience to its limit.
