I'm assuming the part you called "butterfly" is the yoke (#9 on the
diagram). Remove the yoke by turning it CW while pulling away and check the motor shaft threads for damages.
If the shaft threads are OK, replace the yoke.
If the shaft threads are damaged, replace the auger motor.
