Default Checking the start switch

To get the dryer going you must press start. If it does it all by it's lonesome and you suspect the contacts are fried on that switch then an easy way to find out is to remove one of the wires to the start switch. Make sure it won't short out. Plug the dryer back in and see if that stops the automatic starting of the dryer. If the contacts are fried you should replace the switch.
