Remove the ice maker and check the water feeding tube for ice inside.

Remove the front cover from the ice maker and check for 120VAC between the "L" and the "N" test points. Make sure both test leads of the meter go into the test points 1/2".

If there is no 120VAC check the plug connection. Remove the plug and check the thermal fuse which is spliced into the black wire of the ice maker wire harness. If there is no continuity the ice maker has to be replaced. If the fuse is fine check the wire harness at the bottom (on some models at the top) of the freezer door.

If there is 120VAC across the "L" and the "N" test points short the "T" and the "H" test points with an insulated piece of wire (14 GA) to run the motor. If the motor does not run replace the ice maker.

If the motor runs, leave the jumper in for a half of a revolution to see if the heater under the ice maker mold heat up. If not - replace the ice maker.

Remove the jumper and the water valve should be energized in the last half of the revolution.

- The part number for the ice maker is AP3182733
