Unhappy Whirlpool Dryer seems to work but doesn't dry
Model Number: LGB6300PW0   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years

  1. I have a Whirlpool model #LGB6300PW0 gas dryer that has suddenly stopped drying properly. The ignitor works and the burner lights, the drum tumbles and there appears to be plenty of air flow out of the exhaust vent. That exhaust flow doesn't feel very warm however. There just seems to be a lot less heat being generated than is needed to do the job, but it doesn't make sense since I can see the burner lighting up, apparently normally. Do I have a bad thermostat or is there some other explanation? Thanks in advance.
