Hey MicrowaveDisplaycom, I think I follow you. If I have an open condition at the thermostat, no power will cross it (like any other open condition).

So do I need to replace the thermostat to resolve this (which I think I can do), or is there a less involved fix?

Thank you both for your patience and assistance.

That may very well be the cause but you need to check it first.
Use your ohm meter and check for continuity across both the
thermostat and the main fuse (even though you’ve replaced it.)

The thermostat is covered in the manual you posted.
