Default GE gas cooktop igniter probelm
Model Number: JGP328WEC2WW   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have GE gas cooktop (modele#JGP328WEC2WW).

I had an issue where one of the igniter kept firing even when knob is
in off position. I learned that it could be bad switch. So i bought new harness switch (GE part# WB18T10339) and replaced it. Here are few things i would like to know.

1. old switch were rectangle. New switches are square. Has GE changed design ?

2. old switch would sit perpendicular to gas pipe underneath. New switch are at an angle (about 22 degree). Is this expected.

3. Is there any instruction to install this switch. First i connected two ends of switch to spark module , eveything worked. I swapped two connections and it still works. I thought i should just work one or the other way not both ways.
