frig and freezer warm,clicking noisefrom compressor,compressor very hot

I have a whirlpool ed25pexht02,that the compressor is very hot,fan is running and compressor starter just makes a clicking type noise for 5-7 seconds then gets quite. I belive the starter is bad, any ideas?
