Gene, thanks for the reply. I just wasn't sure if I needed to break off the clip and then remove the nut. Then replace the clip upon replacing the motor. Or is it one part? I see the two sides of the nut that are pounded down to keep the clip on, should I file them off and bend the clip off? Then remove the nut? Or is this something that definately needs to be replaced and I should order spares before I attempt to replace the auger motor? Thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated...Bob
