remember is on a distinguished road
Red face U-line Icemaker/Fridge fan making grinding/whining noise and no ice.
Model Number: CO29FF   Brand: -other-   Age: 1 - 5 years

I read the manual . . .

http://www.u-line.com/data/pdfs/30099_Rev3.pdf

and followed the instructions on page 10 for "Condenser cleaning" and "Ice maker maintenance", but the ice maker is still not making any ice and the fan in the back of the ice maker chamber is making this annoying grinding/whining noise. I confirmed that it is the fan in the back of the ice maker chamber by putting a card through the cover grill of the fan, which stopped the fan turning and the noise it was making. I did not want to use WD40 for fear of contamination. Even using some cooking oil in the spray can hesitates me. But I don't know what else I should do?

I disconnected the water hose connector and toothbrush cleaned the sediment from the inlet screen, but still no ice is being made. I confirmed that there is plenty of water going through the water hose up to that point, but can not tell where it goes after that.

The ice maker bin arm is definitely down and the ice maker chamber feels extremely cold. Even the drinks in the fridge part of the unit feel plenty normally cold.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
