Default Microwave Handle Replacement, yet again.
Model Number: JVM1340BW002   Brand: GE   Age: 5 - 10 years

I'm usually good at repairs, but this one has me stymied!

The top of the door handle broke away from the door. I purchased a replacement handle and have attempted to remove the old handle, but to no avail.

On the inside of the door, there's only ONE screw and it leads to the top of the handle that brok away. No other screws are visible, ANYWHERE! I've removed that screw and attempted to swivel the handle by its bottom, hoping that some flange might become disengaged and allow it to separate from the door. Nothing happens!

Can someone PLEASE show me what to do?? Also, if a schematic can be provided, it would greatly assist me.

My thanks in advance.
