Remove the trash compactor from the cabinet.
Remove the drawer from the unit.
Remove one screw located under each corner of the control panel on the front of the unit.
Push the control panel upward and pull gently away to release two hooks from their slots on the unit frame.
Remove all screws holding the top cover and remove the top cover.
Lubricate the power nuts (#12 on the
power screw & ram break down diagram) and the power screws (#1 on the
power screw & ram break down diagram) using
multipurpose lithium grease.
