Over this past weekend, I dismantled my SHU4306 to replace the drain motor. I was able to do this without taking off the white catch basin at the base of the unit but it was like putting on a watch with both hands in a cracker box. I removed the left side panel by sliding up the rubber seal and removing the two torx screws on the left door column. To get to the heater assembly, you'll want to do the same on the right side. Also, remove the silver sheet metal at the door hinge for gaining access. As I did not have to access the circulator or heater, that is all I can tell you. Having the replacement part in hand will give you a good idea on how to remove the old part. Also, use silicone grease for the gasket seals. If you have to take off the whole base, you are going to uncharted waters for me. My unit runs like a quiet dream again. Best wishes!!
