Help! I just got this compactor second hand from someone who was getting new appliances. It looks fine and all but has two problems:

1-The door doesnt quite sit straight, its like there is something small causing a misalignment on the right side, but the slides and rollers work beautifully.

2-It doesn't compact! When I try either mode (solid or normal) it makes noise like its working and then stops. If I hold the switch in the on or start position for a few seconds it does the same thing but when it would normally stop the whole machine just shuts down, filter and all! Then I smell something like a burning smell... I think my motor is going out, but I'm not sure...

Help!
