Unhappy Maytag Gas Wall Oven Will Not Heat

Help me! I turned on my oven and no heat. The ignitor glows red hot but no gas flames. I am at a loss - cannot afford to replace it right now and really don't want to rob Peter to pay a service tech if I can avoid it. I am very handy around the house with electric and plumbing so hopefully if you can help me diagnose this, I can fix it myself. The only problems I have had are the thermostat had to be replaced in 2001 and have replaced the seals - otherwise no problems with this oven.
